Dear Stylists-

As I reflect on this past year with JK, I must admit that I never imagined that it could be like this. Our team is amazing...and this journey we are on is incredible!!!! 

Many of you have put so much effort into your businesses and are reaping the rewards. I am SO proud of your accomplishments and you should be too...you inspire me! 

As we close out the year, I would like for you to keep this in mind...December is not over.

Now I know you are probably thinking..what..is she crazy!!??!! 

Of course you are probably finished with most of your parties and are in full baking and shopping mode. I am too. Enjoy...relax...and take it all in. Your family deserves you and your time. 

However, I urge you to make sure your January is in order. Get the invites out and make sure to coach your Hostesses for amazing parties! With the coveted Hope to Fly charm out of retirement for 2 weeks only, you will want to have the first two weeks of the month booked solid. Believe me, once people see this, they WILL book a party!! 

Also in January is Club JK!!! If you haven't listened to the webinar, please go into your back office and do so. If you thought this past year was incredible, you haven't seen nothin' yet!! With Club JK beginning January 1st, I predict JK to be the fastest growing company in direct sales!!!! It's brilliant, the pieces are gorgeous, and your customers are going to LOVE it!! 

You know that lull between December 26th and January 1st? Everyone is busy exchanging gifts, shopping and wandering about;  kids are home and parents take time off. Use that opportunity to Host a Hostess/Customer Appreciation party!

Offer a percentage off, offer free shipping (or both) and give back to those who have helped support you and your business this year. While they are at your home, make sure to tell them about Club JK and the January Specials!!! This little bit of effort and good will, will help give your business a jump-start in the New Year!

Top in Sales - November

I cannot tell you how honored I am to be writing this spotlight. I am a BIG believer in JK Leaders making sure to add their names to their own newsletter recognition when they are top in sales and/or sponsoring for the month. Sophia and I have gone back and forth on this subject quite often because some months I would see that although she was often in the top ten she would not recognize herself.

"You have to recognize yourself!" I would say. Over and over again.
I believe it's so important that teams know they are being led by a
Leader who is not only talking the talk, but walking the walk. Sophia
would agree with me, but yet time and time again I would see that she
had left her name off of her team's recognition list.

I spoke with Sophia earlier this week and knew that she was going to be top in sales for her entire organization for the month of November.  I demanded that she spotlight herself in her newsletter. She of course could not see herself doing this, so it's with great pleasure that I am writing this spotlight on Sophia Fisher. Your team's Top Seller for the month of November with $12,201.50 in personal sales. 

This November was a very special month for me, because it is the month that Sophia recognized her own personal power. I speak with Sophia quite frequently on the phone and it really is one of the highlights of my job. It's my chance to recognize her for all her achievements, help her work through her challenges and coach her to even greater success. 

 
It's a joy for me because Sophia is one of the most "coachable" people
I have ever met. When I suggest she does something to grow her JK
business, she doesn't pause, she doesn't hesitate. She takes the
suggestion and she runs with it every time--immediately. She is
extremely coachable. Coaching is what I love to do & when you have a
"student" like Sophia it makes what you do an absolute joy.

So over the past year, I've heard several times from Sophia, "You'll
never see me at the top. I'll never be #1 because what I am is
consistent. I am a consistent seller and I am a consistent sponsor.
But I'm not a Stylist that will ever be #1 in sales or sponsoring." I
knew differently. I knew that Sophia could be not only #1 within her
team, but within the company--I had no doubt. I just had to bide my
time and help Sophia realize the power she had within her to do great
things. So I would listen to her as she would tell me, she wouldn't be
#1, she wouldn't earn the Cancun trip, she would be ... consistent. I
would smile every time and think to myself, "That is going to change."

So I started coaching Sophia to realize the greatness within her. She
knows how to build teams, she knows how to promote Leaders but she did not yet know that she could not only do that but also be the best in
the company in her personal business as well.

I began reminding her of what she had in her to achieve ALL her goals
and dreams. Reminding her that she could be #1. And then it clicked
-- she got it. She realized that she could do this. She realized that
if you can "believe it, you can achieve it" and she went for it. Not
only did she just go for it--but she went for it in a BIG way. She
lived what she preaches, "Go big, or go home!"

She started scheduling JK Parties, she started talking to everyone she
knew about the business, she doubled and tripled the amount of Parties she was holding per week. And then she would call me, "Oh my gosh! This is crazy! I'm working my business like never before and I have people calling me that I don't even know to host a Party! This is
magical!" And through this process she realized that she could be #1.
She set her goal to be #1 in personal sales for the month of November
and she went for it. One of my most favorite quotes is: "She believed
she could so she did." And that describes what Sophia has done with
her personal JK business perfectly.

She is leading her team by example. She is showing everyone in the
company it can be done--you can be a Black Diamond Leader and ROCK your personal business as well. And one of the most beautiful things about this? As she has worked her personal business like never before, her team business has exploded.

Sophia is #1 in personal sales for the month of November, Sophia will
be earning JK's first ever incentive trip to Cancun, and I know without
a doubt Sophia will continue to ROCK her personal business. She called me one day and said, "I am never going back to holding 2-3 Parties a month." I have no doubt that we won't see that again because Sophia has realized the power of a strong personal business and what it can do for you as a JK Leader. Sophia set her goals, changed her mindset, and got into action.

She believed she could so she did.
