Attracting Leadership Across the State

January 21, 2012, LSBAE and AIA LA are sponsoring the second Louisiana IDP Forum 2012. The first Forum conducted in 2008 was a great success attracting leadership from across the state and earning national recognition through an AIA Component Excellence Award. This is the second statewide event that will bring together a representative cross-section of constituents from across Louisiana to examine contemporary Intern Development Program issues. The Many Shades of Green

Texas Architect Magazine By Duncan T. Fulton, FAIA

There are many ways for a building to be "green". While LEED may be the best known, it is by no means the only way, nor necessarily always the best. Unbeknownst to many, other green credentialing systems have begun to appear and can be better fit than LEED in some circumstances. "They shouldn't be forced to lose a percentage of their pay that they could be investing throughout the year or using to hire additional employees. The withholding tax would have created cash flow problems, as well as drained capital that could have been used for job creation and business expansion."
