Many of our customers have been running into repeated problems with pests and viruses. Pests and viruses can wreak havoc on your computer, but there is a way to avoid them. Please be very cautious when opening emails, especially those with links. DO NOT open any link unless you are sure of the sender. DO NOT open links unless you were expecting an email from the sender.

Some pests and viruses arrive disguised as emails from MSN, UPS, and Paypal. Read these emails carefully, and make sure they are relevant to you. For example, if you do not have a PayPal account, you can be pretty sure that PayPal is not the one sending this email.

Before opening any link, hold your mouse over the link. A tooltip should appear giving you the address where the link is coming from. Make sure the link is coming from a valid web site, i.e. UPS.com or PayPal.com. If the address does not correspond with the sender DO NOT open it, delete it.

Jerry's Recommendation: It is better to be safe than sorry when it comes to suspicious emails. Take your time reviewing any sender and/or link. If either one is not familiar to you DO NOT open it, delete it. When in doubt delete it out!

If an email does look legitimate but you are not expecting a communication from the sender, err on the side of caution and DO NOT open it, delete it.

In the event you do contract pests and viruses, get in touch with us at 856-786-3500 or send us an email at servicerequest@networksplusco.com and we will schedule a technician to come out, clear your computer and get you running smoothly once again.
