Liberty couple has twins after 'adopting' embryos
By Angie Anaya Borgedalen Liberty Tribune
Married for seven years, the Kruses
Anna Faltermeier/Sun News - Justin Kruse holds daughter Nora Friday, March 27 at their Liberty home tried to get pregnant but it didn't happen.
They then turned to adoption and twice that fell through. "In the first case, the father said no and in the second situation, the baby died," Lara said. "It was terrible."
Desperately wanting to start a family and still recovering emotionally from the unsuccessful adoptions, the Kruses learned from their adoption counselor, Kris Probasco, that a former Kansas City couple had completed their family through in-vitro fertilization and were willing to have their leftover embryos adopted.
"We were so excited," Lara said. "This was a way for me to be pregnant and for us to have a family."
