Goal: Make Iowa Leader in Volunteering

To make Iowa the national leader in volunteerism, the state wants Iowans to increase their volunteer hours to 50 per year. This is an increase of 16 hours per year. Iowa hopes to accomplish this by 2015.

Iowa is currently second in the nation for the percentage of residents who volunteer.
