Greetings!
|
The tax season is over, which also means that United 2-1-1 is done scheduling tax appointments. (More on that below.)
We are pleased to let you know that Hilery Livengood has joined the team as our VP of Donor Relations and Shilo Knapp, who works at Rockwell Collins, has agreed to be the Young Leaders Society vice chair next fiscal year.
Day of Caring is coming up on May 10. Even if you aren't signed up for a project you can participate in our food drive-through.
Finally, congratulations to our outstanding volunteers of the year.
Until next month,
Your United Way Team

United Way partners with Freedom From Hunger
On May 10th, United Way of East Central Iowa will host a Food Drive at the Human Service Campus. Items collected at this food drive will be given to HACAP as part of its Freedom From Hunger Food Drive.
From 8am-5:30pm, you can bring your food to the drop off site (Human Services Campus at 317 7th Ave SE Cedar Rapids, IA 52401) and volunteers will unload the donation for you. All you have to do is 'drive thru'! This is a great opportunity for employees who may not be able to participate by being out of the office for our Day of Caring by donating to this great cause! |
