Working together to eliminate hunger
|
|
Over 37,000 individuals in our six-county area need food assistance.
It takes a team of partners to be able to address this food need. Over four million pounds of food are needed each year to address hunger in our community. Click here for more.

United Way and volunteer leaders are pleased that Raining Rose and Skogman Companies, two Cedar Rapids companies, are taking a lead role in the next fundraising campaign.
Both companies have agreed to be pacesetters this year. A pacesetter company is an organization that literally sets the pace for the rest of the campaign, hence the name, Pacesetter. Cathy Gullickson, who is chairing this year's campaign along with husband Marc, announced the partnership at the March 20, 2012, United Way Board of Directors meeting. "We are pleased that these two companies have agreed to kick off another successful year," Cathy Gullickson says. "Their support will help us improve the community in the areas of health, education and financial stability." United Way CEO Lois Buntz added that "the past several years we have seen great success with our Pacesetter companies. We are confident and thankful this will continue in 2012." Please thank anyone you know associated with Skogman Companies and Raining Rose for their willingness to take on important leadership roles in the community. |
