CorridorVolunteers Celebrates Anniversary

CorridorVolunteers, an online matching service for volunteer opportunities, will celebrate its four-year anniversary on Nov. 30, 2010. Agencies can register at www.corridorvolunteers.org and create a volunteer opportunity listing to recruit volunteers to match their needs. Volunteers can visit the site to find local, regional and statewide links to opportunities. Other features available on CorridorVolunteers include a Calendar to easily find opportunities by date, Product Connections to find agencies seeking donations, and the ability to sign up in case of a disaster. CorridorVolunteers is managed by United Way of East Central Iowa and sponsored by Rockwell Collins. For questions or more information, please contact Sue Driscoll at (319) 398-5372, ext. 22, or [email protected].

Positive Results from RSVP Volunteer Satisfaction Survey
Thank you to the 221 volunteers that completed and returned the RSVP Volunteer Satisfaction Survey. We appreciate your suggestions and will thoughtfully consider each one. There were wonderful responses to "What is the best thing about being an RSVP volunteer?". The top three answers were:
 Helping others
 Meeting new people
 Giving back to my community
You still may return your completed survey to the RSVP office. We would like to hear from everyone!
