e- FM won the 'Rising Stars' Small / Medium Sized Business of the Year 2007. The company was presented with this award by the Bedfordshire and Luton 2007 Business Excellence Awards at a prestigious Gala Awards Dinner in Bedford at the end of 2007.

New Domain Name
Our email addresses have changed!

e-FM now has a new domain name! This means that you can leave out all of the hyphens you are used to typing when you send us emails and just send an email to your contact@efm.uk.com.
 

With e-FM's new domain name comes our new website address , www.efm.uk.com. Our website features a comprehensive list of services including our Finance Director, Credit Controller and Bookkeeper, amongst others.

There is also an online calculator, so you can determine yourself, the cost of outsourcing to e-FM versus employing a full time staff.

Asian-based PATT has nominated e-Financial Management Ltd. (e-FM) to provide financial management support to its growing business. This UK - registered charity operates from Thailand with the aim of combating climate change and actively campaigning for better environmental practices in developing countries.

Formed in 2005, the PATT foundation has received strategic support from e-FM's Regional Director, Stuart Chapman, utilising his top level financial expertise to streamline the business.

Working as Company Secretary and Financial Director, Stuart Chapman obtained the company's registration with the UK Charity Commission, and has been responsible for preparing annual returns, statutory accounts, establishing banking relationships and assisting with specialist recruitment.

Andy Steel, Managing Director of PATT said 'Stuart's involvement has made an incredible impact on our business. We have maintained control over our finances as we can track our performance and ensure regulatory compliance, while receiving valuable legal advice on business issues and decisions'.

BACKGROUND: Dacon Plc is a UK based company that provides a unique service to clients by distributing a range of contact centre and communications solutions. It reviews its experience in the last couple of years and the effect of those experiences on its current structure.

On Sunday the 11th December 2005, a build-up of fumes at the Buncefield Oil Depot in Hemel Hempstead, north of London England ignited, creating what was later described by Hertfordshire's Chief Fire Officer, Roy Wilsher as, "the largest incident of its kind in peace time Europe". Although no deaths resulted from the immediate aftermath, 43 people were injured (2 seriously) and homes and offices throughout the Hemel Hempstead area were made instantly uninhabitable. The offices at Dacon were severely damaged.

 
CRISIS : Following this devastating incident, the management team was busy dealing with the aftermath, and traumatised staff made enormous efforts to rebuild the business while operating from cramped Portakabins located in their car park. The intermittent loss of power, water and the disruption of administrative and management systems all created a difficult working environment and made survival of the company difficult, at times.

RESTORATION: Dacon Plc worked tirelessly through a difficult restoration process, utilising the financial and project management skills of e-Financial Management Limited (e-FM), an outsourcing company that provides scaleable and flexible financial management solutions to leverage its specific business skills;

Dacon succeeded in rebuilding its ability to process and report financial data as well as manage its business environment and despite the conditions, maintained important customer relations and managed to grow the business in 2006. They successfully migrated to an improved company infrastructure and implemented new financial control systems. The company was able to achieve this with the guidance and support of e-FM who also served in new roles following the incident, resolving issues in credit control and the insurance claim.

Dacon Plc now operates from its restored building which it relocated to at the beginning of 2007. 'The e-FM staff was an amazing asset to us, the company made a significant difference to our business with their level of expertise, flexibility and rapid response' says Julie Richings, Finance and Operations Director.

 New Offices.
 
One Central Park, Manchester: e-FM now has a regional office located at One Central Park, Manchester. The building also houses companies from the University of Manchester, Incubator Units, Manchester Science Park and a large number of entrepreneurs and technologists. By operating from here, e-FM can service the tenants of One Central as well as the surrounding business markets in the counties of Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside and Cheshire. 
 
Chepstow: Another office is fully operational in the West. By operating from our office in Chepstow, located along the England / Wales border, e-FM can service the business markets of South Wales / Cardiff as well as Bristol and the M4 corridor East to Swindon.
 
Birmingham: ...And yet another. With our new regional office in Birmingham, our unique offering is available to businesses in the Midlands and surrounding areas.
 
We still have our Newcastle office located at the Bridge club for North East clients, and our Luton office for businesses in London and the North Home Counties. e-FM is truly committed to delivering true value to its clients by providing speedy response to clients' resource needs, wherever they are based in the UK.
