Survivor Sentiments #3
Sometimes survivors experience seasonal triggers associated with their abuse. Do you have specific times of the year when you feel particularly unstable? Have you been able to figure out the connection to your abuse? How do you comfort yourself during these times? Have you figured out how to minimize the impact over the years?
The aftermath of child sexual abuse not only affects us as individuals, bit it also impacts our family and our community. As survivors it's often difficult to see through the aftermath and it requires a personal decision and a long term commitment to move beyond our abuse. If you want to do your part to stop this epidemic...heal yourself. That's the first step and we're hear to help.

If you have a sentiment that you'd like to share with others or you would like to provide feedback on this sentiment, please send us an email at sentiments@taalk.org or join us on Facebook.

P.S. Please forward to a friend.
