Survivor Sentiments #2
Both male and female survivors can experience a deep fear that they will abuse their child. This can make diaper changes and bathing an extremely stressful experience. Did you ever have these thoughts or feelings?  If so what did you do to overcome them? Did you ever talk with your spouse or anyone else about your feelings? What do you think is appropriate touch when caring for an infant?
The aftermath of child sexual abuse not only affects us as individuals, bit it also impacts our family and our community. As survivors it's often difficult to see through the aftermath and it requires a personal decision and a long term commitment to move beyond our abuse. If you want to do your part to stop this epidemic...heal yourself. That's the first step and we're hear to help.
