Survivor Sentiments - Introduction
At some point in the past, you registered to receive our Survivor Newsletter and in the past three years I have been growing our program offerings and our volunteer base but haven't had the chance to really make this an active offering. Well we've come a long way in the past three years and today I am launching a series called Survivor Sentiments designed to let survivors explore some very real and personal struggles in the aftermath of child sexual abuse.

Although I was inspired by reading a book called When Survivors Give Birth and I will start the series by addresses issues around pregnancy, birth and the post partum period, this will be TAALK's long term forum for helping male and female survivors realize how their abuse has impacted their lives and inspiring them to break their silence and move to a new place of healing.

I will be publishing the Sentiments daily on Facebook and Twitter so if you prefer to receive them through one of those more interactive media streams rather than email, please go to our website for the links to join or follow.

I realize that since it's been some time since you registered, many of you may opt out and that's okay but for those who are on an active healing journey, I think you'll enjoy the thought provoking ideas that we have to offer.
The aftermath of child sexual abuse not only affects us as individuals, bit it also impacts our family and our community. As survivors it's often difficult to see through the aftermath and it requires a personal decision and a long term commitment to move beyond our abuse. If you want to do your part to stop this epidemic...heal yourself. That's the first step and we're hear to help.

If you have a sentiment that you'd like to share with others or you would like to provide feedback on this sentiment, please send us an email at sentiments@taalk.org.

P.S. Please forward to a friend.

Sincerely,
Signature Black
