Honorary Mention: El Buen's Food Pantry
El Buen's food pantry ensures that a monthly average of 1,400 individuals have food on their tables. As a Capital Area Food Bank partner agency, El Buen Samaritano purchases products and fresh produce from the food bank at a minimal price. With volunteer help, Rosa Carroll (photo left), food pantry coordinator, ensures that food items are properly cleaned, handled and stored. And as a result of her constant attention, the food pantry has received a perfect score from the Capital Area Food Bank since 2006. As a way to congratulate our food pantry on this great milestone, help put food on the table of those in need. Click the donate button above!
