PARENT/TEEN CONFERENCE - First Baptist Church of Glen Este, OH (Cincinnati). This weekend I am speaking at the Parent/Teen Conference at First Baptist Church of Glen Este, OH (Cincinnati). It's great to be here again with my good friend Bob Johnson who has been the youth pastor here for many years. Evangelist Morris Gleiser is here speaking as well. Morris was a youth pastor for over two decades and is also a great friend, so we are having fun catching up. The parents and teens are responding well and getting a lot of great teaching and encouragement to bring families together spiritually.
THE CARING CENTER OF LEBANON, IN - Hunger ProjectThe staff at the Caring Center in Lebanon, IN has asked our ministry to partner with them on a

temporary project over the past few weeks. The project is part of an initiative to address the needs of families who have landed in poverty and specifically understand their circumstances. My part has been to have a one on one family interview with twenty families. Each interview takes 60-90 minutes and the goal is to seek to "understand" what exactly is going on in their life and put a plan together to help. God is teaching me so much through the stories of these people. This project is also a part of the new program the Caring Center launched in Lebanon during the month of March called KAT (Kids at the Table). KAT is a program being developed by the Caring Center hosted at the Lebanon Boys and Girls Club. The three elements are feeding kids a hot meal, providing recreation and mentoring/homework help. I've been asked to come in a couple times each week to do mentoring of some of the youth most at-risk.
ALL PRO DAD - NFL FATHER AND KIDS EXPERIENCE AT THE COLTS COMPLEX - May 14
The All Pro Dad organization is the fatherhood program founded by former NFL Coach Tony Dungy of the Indianapolis Colts. Our ministry will be a part of the upcoming event at the Colts training facility in Indianapolis on May 14. I'm looking forward to being one of the seven speakers at the event again and having the opportunity to invest in fathers in this way.
A WORD ABOUT OUR MINISTRY FUNDINGOur ministry lost a substantial source of funding in 2009 due to the impact of the economy on those who were supporting our work with troubled youth. Many have asked how we are recovering. We are working diligently to bring new sources of ministry support through four areas. 1. Churches, 2. Christian Business and Business Men, 3. Individuals and 4. Christian Private Foundations. We are still a long way from our needed support which raises the question, "How are the Turners surviving?" The answer is simply by faith and trust in God. If you have ever heard the story of George Mueller, well we are in our own George Mueller experience right now and God is providing monthly though different ways and different people. Pray for us that God will bring to us those who He wants to be our partners in ministry. If you have any questions about our ministry funding or would like to help feel free to go to the Give section of our website to learn more or call me at 317-514-4197. Thank you for praying for us.
Thank you for your prayers and financial support of this front-line ministry to troubled youth and families. Pray for God to sustain us as well and bring others to partner with us.

Sincerely,
Ken Turner
