High Impact Teens
KS89783 From No Hope To Happiness
Just when you question whether it's all worth it you hear a story like this one told to me last week.

"Standing inside was a teenage boy, around 15 years old with a piece of his sheet tied around his neck in several knots. The boy had tied the sheet in so many knots and wanted to get it untied but couldn't get the knots untied. So, there he stood, waiting for someone to help while tears were streaming down his face."

10 + 1 + 10 MoreKS89732 Saved In October
During the month of October I had the privilege of being the speaker at Camp Chetek in Chetek, WI for their TRUTH Retreat. A teenage girl was saved that weekend and ten more teens were saved in one youth group after they went back home. The following week there were an additional ten teens saved in my ministry at the juvenile detention center.

All Pro DadAllProDadNFKExp
On Saturday, November 7 the All Pro Dad NFL Father and Kids Experience was held at the Colts Training Facility in Indianapolis. The event sold out at 2000 attendees. I was asked to be one of seven speakers at the event and had the opportunity to speak on the topic of fatherhood to 2000 people. It was a great experience and I am already excited about doing it again next year!

DadIWishFreddie Scott II - The Dad I Wish I Had
While attending the All Pro Dad NFL Father and Kids Experience at the Colts complex I had the chance to meet Freddie Scott II. Freddie played football at Penn State as a wide receiver and continued his career in the NFL with the Atlanta Falcons and Indianapolis Colts.

I'm Not Believing This
Sometimes the youth I minister are so hardened by the circumstances of their life you wonder if you can reach them. It is amazing how many times I see God soften thatKS89750 hardness. Last week, one of the guys in my Bible study didn't want to be there. He raised his hand and said, "What would you say if I told you I don't believe anything?" I said, "Do you mean you don't believe in God... you don't believe in the Bible?" He said, "That's right, I don't believe in anything... what do you have to say about that?"

Prayer Needs:
Pray for each of the ministry activities I mentioned in this update.

REVIVAL In The Detention Center Rescheduled:
We have rescheduled our revival week in the Indianapolis detention center to the week of November 30-December 4.
Pray for this special week with the youth.

Pray for the recovery of our ministry funding. We are in great need of additional donations while our main source of funding is recovering from the current economic downturn. The situation is very urgent so make this a top priority as you pray for us.

Ken Turner Ministries, Inc. is officially a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization
When a new ministry is established it takes some time to file all the required paperwork to be recognized by the IRS officially as a 501(c)(3) organization. Last week I received a letter from the IRS with the official status being granted to my ministry. This is a very important step as it officially positions us to grant tax deductible receipts to all donations of any size and positions us to connect with foundations that support ministry to troubled youth. I am very thankful for this answer to prayer.
