Volunteers Needed!
Woodlawn is seeking individuals interested in joining its roll of volunteers in 2010. There are opportunities to help at special events, at workshops, work in the collections, in the gardens, on the trails, and with administrative tasks. Volunteers can also help prepare Woodlawn for the May 1st opening. For those who love history and meeting new people, there are opportunities to participate in the Volunteer Docent program. Volunteer Docents welcome guests to the house and answer questions. Participants in this program also receive special training on Woodlawn's history. If you are interested in becoming a Woodlawn volunteer, please call 667-8671 or click here for an application form.

Woodlawn to launch farmers' market
Market to open on Mothers' Day
Woodlawn Museum, in conjunction with the Downeast Business Alliance, is pleased to announce that it will launch a year round Farmers' Market this spring. Last fall local farmers approached Woodlawn about the possibility of a market, prompting a December "holiday" market. The interest from vendors and the high market attendance indicated that a year round market could work.
While it is hoped that the market will draw more people to the property, the market should benefit from the strong public presence already at Woodlawn. The planned start date for the Woodlawn Farmers' Market is on Mothers' Day, May 9th from 11 am to 3 pm, and then will continue each Sunday thereafter. For more information please click here.
