Teen Read Week is a time to celebrate reading for fun and encourage teens to take advantage of reading in all its forms - books and magazines, e-books, audiobooks and more - and become regular library users. Reading is free, fun, and you can do it anywhere! (Plus, reading can help boost your test scores and you'll be more likely to succeed when it's time to get a job.)

Help us celebrate Teen Read Week in October with free programs, workshops, classes, and other special events for teens 12-18.

See the schedule of events.

Teen Read Week is a national literacy initiative held each year during the third week of October. At Charlotte Mecklenburg Library, we offer top-notch access to literacy programs and services year-round, but Teen Read Week is your chance to sample all of our literacy programs compacted into just one short week.
