Welcome Back to School! Classes resume on Wednesday, August 29th, at 8 a.m.
Parents Association Welcome Coffee on August 29th
The Parents Association warmly invites new and returning parents to its traditional Welcome Coffee on the first day of school. This is a great time to socialize, meet new people, reconnect with old friends, greet families new to Pacific Ridge and get to know the Parents Association leadership team. It's also a good opportunity to obtain information about Parents Association events and to sign up for this year's committees and activities. Grab a beverage at Peet's in Bressi Ranch between 8 and 10 a.m., and join the group on the terrace!

Returning Student Schedules Are On-Line
Returning student class schedules can be accessed on the Pacific Ridge School website in My Backpack. You can locate and print out your schedule by clicking on "Student Schedule" under the Academic tab. Paper copies of schedules will be mailed on August 24th.
Challenge Day is Coming to Pacific Ridge School!
All Upper School students and parents are invited and encouraged to take part in this powerful, high energy program which unites and empowers students so they can contribute to a positive peer environment at school. Participants can choose to attend either Monday, August 27th or Tuesday, August 28th, from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m., Pacific Ridge Athletic Center. To register, contact Mr. Bray at pbray@pacificridge.org.
School-Wide BBQ on August 31st
Pacific Ridge students and faculty are invited to enjoy an afternoon BBQ, complete with burgers, veggie burgers, hot dogs, and refreshments.

Global Travel Program Launch on September 5th
11th and 12th graders and their parents are invited to learn about this year's school-arranged trip offerings.

Textbook Sale on Friday, August 24th
Need Textbooks? Come to the Parent Association used textbook sale! If you have already reserved a textbook, please pick it up at this time. If you have not reserved books, you may view the textbook Reservation Website (password: firebird) to see a list of all the textbooks the Parent Association has on hand. To reserve a book, click on "sign up" under that item. A reservation is a commitment to purchase the book. Please remember that you will write a check directly to the selling PRS family for each book.

Used Uniform Exchange on Friday, August 24th
Get outfitted for school at the Parents Association used uniform sale/exchange. Bring gently used uniform items your child has outgrown and exchange them. You may also purchase gently used uniform items for $5 each.

The Alumni Association hosted its first annual Alumni Summer Send-off Party on August 8th. Nearly 50 attendees gathered to socialize, shoot hoops and play volleyball in the Athletic Center. This year's Alumni Association activities will include more social events, as well as increased opportunities for participating in school events, year-end trip chaperoning and internships at Pacific Ridge.

Senior College Movie Night on August 27th
Seniors and their parents are invited to view a documentary film, 500 Words or Less, which chronicles the lives of four American high school seniors as they prepare their college applications and make their final college decisions.
