Don't Forget to Fill Out Waivers, School Directory
Parents, be sure to fill out the three waivers available on your MyBackpack site: permission to print photo/video; acceptable use of technology; offsite learning and field trip.  All three waivers are required in order for your child to take part in school activities next year.  Also, please take a moment to determine what information you would like to have available in the online directory (available only to Pacific Ridge School students and families).  Click here to access MyBackpack.  If you don't remember your password, the site will give you a prompt to have it emailed to you.  To access the waiver forms, click "Online Enrollment" on the far right, and then click on "Additional Forms" on the far right.  To access the directory, go back to the Online Enrollment page, and click on "Review Profile."  Questions?  Contact Mr. Bray at pbray@pacificridge.org.

New & Noteworthy

Congratulations, Class of 2012!
The 42 members of the class of 2012, the second class to graduate from Pacific Ridge School, enjoyed a commencement ceremony on June 14th that included much warm reflection on their years at Pacific Ridge School.  Class of 2012 Presidents, Elle Lichter and Chanelle Gaines, set the friendly and jocular tone with a speech that defined the class as the "middle child" and revealed the ways the class carved out its own special identity.  Student Body President, Abby Perelman, introduced Keynote Speaker Dr. Ogle, who talked about the familial bonds of the Class of 2012 and urged students to "seize the unique opportunities that come with each stage of your lives."  Dr. Ogle invited four faculty members - Mr. Bray, Ms. Bjornstad, Mr. Rachlin, and Ms. Sullivan - to describe the class during each of its four years of high school.  Graduating Seniors Annie DeFatta and Shannon Smith performed an original song, "Bittersweet," that bid farewell to their class and the school, and Music Director Steve Dziekonski invited up last year's alums to join the A Cappella group as it closed the ceremony with a rendition of "Blessing."  Click here to see the entire Commencement Address for the Class of 2012.  Congratulations, graduates!
