Please join us as we celebrate defining moments in our school's history with the opening of our 5th academic year and the installation of Dr. Bob Ogle as Co-Head of School.

Offsite parking and shuttle will be available at the newly renamed Aptera Lot (formerly the Ashworth Lot, at 2765 Loker Avenue West). To get to the Aptera Lot from school, head north on El Fuerte, cross Palomar Airport Road, and take the first left onto Loker Avenue. The parking lot will be on your left.  Please allow yourself at least 20 minutes to park there and take a shuttle to the event. 

Returning Students: Pick Up Your Schedules by 8/26 

The last day to pick up student class schedules for returning students is Friday, August 26th.  Please see Ms. Diaz-Orosco in the Upper School building.  7th, 9th, and new 8th, 10th, and 11th graders will receive their schedules at the conclusion of their respective orientations.  All schedules not picked up by Friday afternoon will be sent via mail.  

Parents Association Welcome Coffee on August 31st

The Parents Association warmly welcomes new and returning parents for its traditional Welcome Coffee on the first day of school. It's a great time to socialize, meet new people, reconnect with old friends, and get to know the Parents Association leadership team. This is also a good opportunity to learn more about the Parents Association and to sign up for this year's committees and activities. Drop by Peet's Coffe in Bressi Ranch between 8 and 10 a.m. and say hello.

School-Wide BBQ on September 2nd

Pacific Ridge students and faculty are invited to enjoy an afternoon BBQ, complete with burgers, veggie burgers, and hot dogs.  3:30 - 5:30 p.m. on the Pacific Ridge campus. 

11th/12th Grade Global Travel Programs Expo 

11th and 12th graders and their parents are invited to learn about this year's school-arranged trip offerings.

Camp College for Seniors this Weekend

College Counseling will provide an intensive series of workshops on the college application process, giving senior students a head start as they begin their journeys toward college.   All sessions take place in the East Reading Room at Pacific Ridge School. 

Sunday, August 28th: noon - 4 p.m.

Monday, August 29th: 8 a.m. - noon

Tuesday, August 30th: 8 a.m. - noon  

Senior College Movie Night on August 29th

Seniors and their parents are invited to view a documentary film, 500 Words or Less, which chronicles the lives of four American high school seniors as they prepare their college applications and make their final college decisions.  Pizza and drinks will be served before the movie.  Commons at Pacific Ridge School, 6 - 8 p.m.  

Welcome College Counselor Jeralyn Johns!

Ms. Matzen welcomed a baby boy to the family and will be out on maternity leave until the middle of October.  Mrs. Jeralyn Johns will be assuming her duties and will work with those students whose last names begin M-Z.  Students and parents may make an appointment with her through Mrs. Foresman at our front desk in college counseling, or by signing in on her appointment calendar located on the front desk.  Sophomore, junior, and senior families are strongly encouraged to activate and use their Family Connection/Naviance account, as all college visits, college evening programs, and scholarships will be posted on this website.   

Congratulations to math teacher Megan King, who recently earned her M.A. in Teaching and Learning (Curriculum Design) from UCSD.  She successfully defended her thesis, entitled "Solving Out Loud: Using discourse as a means to promote problem solving, motivation, and metacognition" in August.
