Greetings!
Today's Riveting News is going to be different.
We have just launched a new website with all new design, navigation, functionality, and content. We unveiled it at the SNAG conference in Phoenix to an overwhelmingly positive response. Click here and find out for yourself. You'll be especially interested in our new member benefit, the Member Profile pages, which I talk more about below. Today's newsletter is devoted to the launch of our new site.

Our New Website
- Visually rich and engaging
- Easy to navigate
- Full of improved functionality
- Visitor friendly
Cruise the site and give us your feedback. If you find anything that needs fixing, let us know.
This is phase one of four phases that will roll out over the next year. Sign up for our RSS feed or be sure we're in your Feed Reader, you won't want to miss any of it.

New! SNAG Member Profiles
Build your own page with our user-friendly template. Fill it with images and information about you, what you make, the materials you use, connections to your shops, your craft shows, exhibitions, and more. Extend your networks, and link to your website, your Etsy shop, your social media. Update your Member Profile whenever you like.
The Member Profiles are searchable by name, materials, process, and content. Use tags for an advanced search.
That's not all -- the images of work you see rotating throughout the site are now randomly pulled from those in the Member Profiles. If you have a Member Profile page, your work will appear on our site. You can change your images at any time.
Our Member Profiles will become a destination for anyone looking for new and interesting work. Once we have a good body of work on the site, we will begin promoting it outside the field to curators, galleries, retail stores, fashion and lifestyle magazine editors, stylists, interior designers, photographers, and others.
You'll love this new feature, our Member Profile pages. Add this to your membership now. This new benefit will normally cost $30 a year, but from now through October it's only $25. |
SNAG News is Different Too The content of SNAG News still lives on the website but now it's integrated into the site instead of being a discrete area of its own. What was public before remains open to visitors, but the best information, such as the Calls for Entries and News from the Field, is still accessible only to SNAG members.
Continue to look for all your favorites under both NEWS, and RESOURCES & OPPORTUNITIES. More will also be added June 1st.
Watch for more later in the year when we move the content of SNAG News to being more a constant stream of information. More content and much more timely.

New Ads on the Site
The ads on the new site are larger, more elegant display ads. With display ads you'll be able to convey valuable and timely information, discounts, upcoming places to find you, and so forth. AND advertisers soon will be able to easily make changes themselves.
The ads will now be seen throughout the site, with the exception of the Member Profiles pages. More interesting and enticing ads means more click throughs. Better content, navigation and functionality means more visitors and they stay on the site longer. Contact Jean Savarese to find out more.

There's More in Store
Over the next full year we will roll out new components and new functionality in distinct phases. On the docket are items such as:
- Searchable career opportunities: Calls for entries, residencies, internships and jobs and an RSS feed for the listings
- SNAGnet will be folded into the site and expanded. There will also be an online form for people to submit items for posting.
- Virtual exhibition space
- Searchable library of Golddust, The Goldsmiths' Journal and Metalsmith
- Improved renewal notifications, conference information and online registration
