Week of April 23, 2012
Greetings!
This is week four of our Q&A series with the two candidates running to be the next SNAG President.
Question #4: The prosperity of SNAG is dependent in no small part upon the prosperity of its membership. What strategies do you have for generating new revenue-both for SNAG and for our members? Click here to read the responses from John Rose and Renee Zettle-Sterling.
The membership meeting during the Phoenix/Scottsdale conference will be held Saturday from 3:30 to 5:00. Click here to access the complete list of candidates on this year's slate: those running for President, the Board of Directors, and the Nominations & Elections Committee. This year, changes to the Bylaws are also going to be on the ballot. The Board conducted a comprehensive review of our Constitution and By-Laws, and they are proposing many revisions to modernize and better articulate our current practices. The substantive changes to the document fall into seven categories; clarifying areas that were either ambiguous or contradictory. Read about this more on our website. And take time to look at the relevant documents. All current SNAG members, including students, have the right to vote. You can vote online or in person at the conference. Online voting will open in May and we will send out details when it's ready. Last, this week we profile our next board of directors candidate, Sharon Massey.

SNAG TV Call for Entries Deadline May 5 Kat Cole uses video to dramatically capture her Progressive Landscape piece. In her SNAG TV entry she uses what is called a Dolly Shot to slide along the piece in a linear movement. This shot mixed with her soundtrack creates a very bold presentation! Watch her video here.
Shoot your story and share your video online with SNAG members, conference attendees, and the world. SNAG TV will be a constant stream of video revealing the stories, inspiration, and artwork of our members.
This exhibition will grow online with a YouTube channel, a Facebook page and a View + Vote period leading up to the "Heat is On" conference next month. The #1 ranked video in each of our 4 submission categories will be awarded a $100 electronics gift card at the conference final night party!
Read the prospectus and entry form.
