Week of April 2, 2012
Greetings!
For the next six weeks, we are publishing a Q&A series with the two candidates running to be the next SNAG President. The questions came directly from our membership. All members were invited to send questions to the Nominations & Elections Committee, and the NEC selected these six. Where multiple questions touched on the same topics, they combined those into one question. As you'll see, some very pointed and interesting questions emerged.
Question #1: SNAG is comprised of members working in virtually every area of our field. How do you view the president's role in representing the range of membership within the organization, and what are some ways you would achieve this? Click here to read the responses from John Rose and Renee Zettle-Sterling.
This week we also begin our weekly profile of candidates running for the board of directors and the Nominations & Elections Committee. Each week we will profile one candidate. In future weeks you will see information about proposed amendments to our Bylaws that will be on the ballot, and details about voting. I will repeatedly encourage members to vote online, especially if you're not coming to the conference this year. The business meeting takes place at the conference hotel Saturday May 26 in the afternoon.
