SNAG and Metalsmith Again Co-sponsor Annual Juried Canadian Exhibition |
|
Now in its seventh year, Zilberschmuck Art-Jewellery presents "Inspired by" a national juried exhibition of Canadian fine jewellery and metal arts on exhibit from May 19th to June 25th at Zilberschmuck Gallery, Toronto. The theme this year was work based on a Canadian person, place or thing. Along with a wide variety of necklaces, bracelets and rings the show also includes a goblet, salad servers and an eggcup all formed from sterling silver.
The Best in Show award this year went to Toronto artist Annette Van Leeuwen for her triptych "Nature."
The exhibition was judged by Dino Giannetti, co-founder and goldsmith at 18karat; Anne Hung, fashion designer and instructor at Ryerson University; and award-winning artist, and former SNAG President, Donald Stuart. SNAG and Metalsmith have co-sponsored this competition since its inception seven years ago. |
