Seattle Metals Guild Pre-Conference Workshop Tickets are Almost Gone

"Demo Days" is the delicious series of eight demonstrations, May 24-25. Each demonstration lasts 1.5 hours. 2011 SNAG Election - Board Candidate: Karen Lorene

Each week we are profiling a different candidate for the 2011 SNAG Election.
Karen Lorene is owner of Facèré Jewelry Art Gallery; publisher of Signs of Life: a Literary Journal, Buying Antique Jewelry: Skipping the Mistakes, and Celebrating 70; appraiser for five years on Antiques Roadshow, 2008 juror for the Philadelphia Museum of Fine Arts Craft Show; past teacher at the University of Chicago Laboratory School; double degree from the University of Washington in Fine Arts (painting) and Education, and recently honored with the Life Time Achievement Award from the Seattle Metals Guild. Presently she serves on the board of Artist Trust and is a past board member of Pratt Arts Center in Seattle, WA.

Choose a Portfolio Reviewer and Pre-Register by May 12
| | All graduating students and emerging artists can sign up for a 20-minute session to have their portfolio reviewed by one of our fifteen professional reviewers during the SNAG conference in Seattle. A great opportunity to receive professional advice and guidance!
Slots are filled on a first-come basis. Look at the list of reviewers then email coordinator Callie Shevlin with your name, email address, and your first and second choices for a specific reviewer. You must pre-register by May 12.

Education Resource Room at SNAG Conference | | We still have a few tables open in the Education Resource Room. Grab the opportunity to represent your program at the SNAG conference in Seattle, May 26 through 29, for only $100.
The Education Resource Room connects representatives from universities, colleges, schools, art centers and other programs across the United States with prospective students interested in your programs. The room is open to everyone attending the conference.
Pre-registration is open until May 12. You must pre-register for a table. The Room is open Friday, May 27 from 2:45 to 4:45. It is not scheduled against the Professional Development Seminar, the Education Dialogue or any other program that will impact attendance in the room.
