Last Call: Phoenix 2012 Conference Call for Exhibition Proposals "The Heat is On"
| | Humans harness the ability to contain or control heat and the capacity to apply it selectively. Heat can act as a catalyst; it is a necessary factor in the formation of minerals and critical elements. Heat can also be interpreted as a result of friction, or the anxiety and excitement of competition. Whether the techniques we use are ancient or contemporary, many of them share in common the factor of heat.
The 2012 SNAG Conference Exhibitions Committee is inviting artists or curators (individuals or groups) to submit proposals for exhibitions in response to the conference theme.
Deadline for these proposals is April 15. Click here to access more information about each one. The Phoenix conference is May 23-26, 2012, hosted by the Arizona Designer Craftsmen, co-chairs Becky McDonah, Tedd McDonah and Lynette Andreasen.
