Professional Development Seminar and Education Dialogue in Seattle
PDS The topics of the Professional Development Seminar this year are "Niche Marketing," featuring artists emiko oye, Hilary Pfeifer, and Deb Stoner, and "Photography, Technical Issues, Media and Style," with professional photographers Douglas Yaple, Roger Schreiber and Christopher Conrad joined by editors Marthe Le Van, Lark Books, and Suzanne Ramljak, Metalsmith.

The Education Dialogue this year provides a forum to talk openly about difficult questions: Does an art degree prepare students for real life after graduation? Should it? Is education now job training? Should employers and the market dictate curriculum? Two panel discussions, one professionals, one students, and plenty of time for Q&A and open discussion.
