February 1 Deadline for Student Work to be Seen at Seattle Conference | |
Students, don't miss this opportunity to submit your work to SNAG's juried student digital presentation, "Fluxation," juried by Zack Noble, Sienna Patti and Anthony Tammaro, and the juried student exhibition, "State of Flux," juried by Jana Brevick, Ron Ho and Karen Lorene. Submit your work once and it is viewed by both sets of jurors.
All application materials must be submitted through CaFE, no later than midnight (11:59 pm) Mountain Time tomorrow, February 1. Find the prospectus on the SNAG website.

New $50 Price for Bruce Baker Workshop | |
The Seattle Metals Guild is hosting a one-day, pre-conference workshop, with Bruce Baker, "No Trivial Pursuit: The Business-side of Being an Artist." A nationally recognized speaker on a variety of direct-marketing topics for artists, Bruce's workshop will be informative and exciting.
In an effort to make this opportunity available to a wide audience the fee to attend has been reduced to $50. Details can be found here. Tickets for the workshop are available here.

Seattle Conference Registration is Now Open |

Register for SNAG's 2011 Seattle conference before April 12 when the prices increase. This year, the Exhibition in Motion is at Bellevue Arts Museum ($20/ticket) and there are only 450 tickets available. Contrary to rumor, roughly 300 tickets are still available. You must purchase your ticket in advance when you register for the conference. Read more here. |
Exhibition in Seattle from the Art Jewelry Forum
| | Onsite at the SNAG conference hotel, the Art Jewelry Forum is producing the exhibition Geography, curated by Mike Holmes and Susan Cummins. A celebration of the amazing variety of the natural world and humanity's part in it, and a demonstration of the unusual ability that jewelry has to identify culture and place in a rapidly changing and increasingly interconnected world.
The exhibition features the work of 44 artists, including Deganit Stern Schocken, Sergey Jivetin, Marian Hosking and Ramon Puig Cuyas, from 31 galleries around the world. Read more here.
