Digital Metalsmith Launches
| | A new benefit for readers of Metalsmith--we have launched an enhanced, interactive, digital version. This is in addition to the print copy.
The new issue mailed out last Friday and the digital version was available earlier that day. You should have received an email linking you to the new issue. If you didn't, contact Dana Singer.
The first issue is not yet available for iPads because of the time it takes to secure apps through Apple. Not to worry though, all issues will be formatted for the iPad after this, and Metalsmith will be listed in the Apple iTunes app store.

Pre- and Post-Conference Workshops in Seattle | | In conjunction with the SNAG conference in May, the Seattle Metals Guild is producing an all-day workshop featuring Bruce Baker, "No Trivial Pursuit: The Business-side of Being an Artist," Thursday May 26 from 9:30 to 4:30. $110 for SMG members, $125 for non-members.
This workshop will help artists identify and overcome barriers that keep their businesses from running at peak performance, and assist them in creating stronger, healthier businesses. Tickets for Bruce Baker No Trivial Pursuit: The Business-side of Being an Artist available here.
SMG is also hosting "Demo Days," a delicious series of eight demonstrations May 24 and 25. Each demonstration lasts 1.5 hours. For just $185, you get all eight demos-you'll attend four presentations on each of the two days. Catered lunch provided. There are only 47 tickets left for this event, so get yours early if you want to be sure of getting them at all. Register through Brown Paper Tickets here.
