Sequel Technology & IP Law Newsletter

Greetings!

We want to let you know about some exciting developments at Sequel Technology & IP Law.
Sequel Launches Web Portal for Intellectual Property and Internet Law

Sequel Technology & IP Law is expanding our client services by launching a web portal at www.sequeltechlaw.com offering critical information on intellectual property and Internet law.  A mobile-optimized version is available at m.sequeltechlaw.com. The site will offer updates on important subjects such as the latest views about managing the legal risk associated with data breaches, how to manage the costs of a litigation, and the viability of "hot news" misappropriation claims.  The portal is a natural complement to our affiliated web site, eCrimetools.com, which provides the tools, services, education, and databases needed to confront Internet crime.

We want to reach out to our clients with the information they need to protect their bottom line.  The new site supports our goal of helping our clients achieve their legal goals in the most efficient way possible.

The site also outlines Sequel's unique approach to practicing law, with an emphasis on effectiveness, flexibility and efficiency instead of a lawyer-focused, big-law way of doing things.  We seek to partner with our clients, using our proven experience in intellectual property, technology, Internet and business law to develop solutions to real-world business challenges that are proactive, innovative and practical.  One of Sequel's advantages is our flexible billing arrangements, including fixed-fee, monthly billing, and hourly billing with optional "not-to-exceed" budgets.
Free CLE For Sequel Clients With Sequel Seminars

Sequel's new web portal offers significant educational opportunities, including materials available for clients that were presented in connection with Sequel Seminars.  These seminars give in-house attorneys the essential information on intellectual property and the Internet they need to protect their companies.  The seminars are free to Sequel clients.  Our latest seminar, offered through Lawline.com, is a two-part presentation on Researching Cybersquatting and Other Online Infringement and Preparing and Filing UDRP (Domain Name) Complaints.  The program will be offered as a live webcast through the Lawline.com site on January 31, 2012 from 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. (EST) and then will be available on demand.  CLE credit is available for many states.  Sequel clients interested in obtaining a free pass should contact Lisa at lisa@sequeltechlaw.com.
About Sequel

At Sequel, we are committed to practicing law in a way that is very different from the way law firms have worked in the past.  While many of our attorneys have had distinguished careers at global law firms, we share the vision that law firms can and should provide expert legal counsel as efficiently as possible-saving clients both time and money.  It is a business-oriented approach, focused on getting matters done right without breaking the legal budget.
