WHAT:  COMMUNITY MEETING to discuss the dog play area proposed for the field near Astro Park and the Lakeview Library (at the intersection of Lakeshore Ave and MacArthur Blvd).

WHERE:  Barnett Hall, behind the Lakeshore Avenue Baptist Church, 3534 Lakeshore Ave

WHEN:  Wednesday, March 23, at 7:00 PM

This is to invite all interested residents to come to a Community Meeting to discuss the pros and cons of the off-leash dog play area proposed to be installed in the field near the Astro Park play structure and Lakeview Library.  You can learn more about the proposal here.

Councilmember Nadel and a group of residents have been working to create the dog park for a number of years.  The proposal was widely announced about two months ago and has generated a lot of feedback, both pro and con.  I have received at least 184 comments via email.  The comments are quite split.  Many nearby residents look forward to walking their dogs to the location.  Others object to this particular location on a variety of grounds. The purpose of this meeting will be to clarify and discuss the various issues that have been raised.

If you have an opinion on the topic, or just want to learn more, please attend the meeting.  You may also email me with your thoughts.

Joining me in sponsoring this meeting is Councilmember Nancy Nadel. Our co-sponsors are the Adams Point Action Council, Cleveland Heights Neighborhood Network and Grand Lake Neighbors. We look forward to seeing you.
