In Appreciation of Wade & Carla Porter
Wade and Carla Porter have been dear and fiercely loyal friends since first having had the privilege and pleasure of meeting them in Nairobi in 1987. They are each Founders, President and CEO, of Living Faith International, and Senior Pastors of Victory Faith Church, both located in Nairobi. We are so blest that they are also Co-Chairs of the Auxiliary Board of 'The JSMI Trust of Kenya', and have unselfishly and sacrificially supported our efforts in establishing GCMH since first meeting them in 1987. Please take a moment to read a letter Wade and Carla blessed me with recently.

"LET MY PEOPLE KNOW"
Hello and blessings from Wade & Carla Porter, Founders, CEO & President of Living Faith International, Nairobi, Kenya, East Africa.
My wife Carla and I met Rev. Jack Shaw in 1987 in Nairobi, the same year we began our work there. Jack and I spent many hours together speaking about what the Lord had placed in our hearts to accomplish in Kenya.
Jack's vision was to build a hospital serving Nakuru, Kenya, and the surrounding villages and communities, not only giving the finest medical care available but reaching the souls of these people for Christ. This project is only possible through the hand of God and the financial assistance and prayerful support of the body of Christ.
Kenya needs this hospital now! Sickness and disease are rampant due to the lack of accurate diagnoses, quality medical care, and medicines. Many fatalities occur from the HIV-AIDS virus. These deaths may have been prevented with proper medical attention, combined with prayers of faith for healing.
Through the years, Jack has continued to share the vision God put in his heart for Nakuru. My wife and I believe in this hospital project. When Jack asked us to serve on the JSMI-Kenya Board of Directors, we were honored to join with him in this ministry. The Lord impressed us to begin construction of the stone wall to 'Let my people know' that God's work has begun in Kenya. This stone wall will surround the 10-acre site where the hospital and auxiliary buildings will be built (as the funds are provided).
The Grace Christian Mission Hospital and its multi-faceted outreach will be serving many communities. Carla and I ask every believer to give financial seeds of faith and donations of benevolence to this marvelous project. We ask that you sow into the lives of people needing their bodies medically healed and their minds and hearts spiritually healed by the free gift of eternal life through receiving Jesus as their Savior. That is our prayer for you, and for them.
We are believing this stone wall will be completed by the end of January 2009. Two metal (security) entry gates will then be installed. Next, construction will begin on the foundation for the first building, which will serve as an interim medical clinic and as housing for the medical personnel and the groundskeeper.
We are grateful for your participation in this project. Be blessed as you reach out with us in touching the lives of those with so many needs who yearn to know that someone cares for them.
