BEYOND THE OPEN DOOR
"I know your works, see I have set before you an open door"(Rev 3:7-8 -NKJ)
We have stepped through the open door, 'crossed the Jordan', and, much like Joshua's defeat of Jericho, are going forth to destroy the works of an archenemy.
Rather than tearing down the walls of a fortified city however, we're building them around a ten-acre site where a God-given wellspring of health and hope for the hurting and dying in Kenya East Africa will soon appear, The Grace Christian Mission Hospital (GCMH).
"The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." (Deut 31:8 -NIV)
The queries regarding the victory deciding challenges ahead will not be about God's power, but rather, man's faith to believe, for Jesus Himself said, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes." (Mark 9:23 -NKJ)
"Know that 'impossible', where truth and mercy and the everlasting voice of nature order, has no place in the brave man's dictionary. That when all men have said 'impossible' and tumbled noisily elsewhere, and thou alone art left, then first thy time and possibility have come. It is for thee now: do thou that, and ask no man's counsel, but thine own only and God's. Brother, thou hast possibility in thee for much: the possibility of writing on the eternal skies the record of a heroic life." -Thomas Carlyle
"You'll chase out your enemies and defeat them: Five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand and do away with them. I'll give you my full attention" (Lev 26:7-9 -MSG)
Thomas Carlyle was referring to accomplishing the 'impossible' through the efforts of one individual who will truly believe. Try to imagine the synergistic effect (i.e., two-can-do-more-than-twice-as-much-as-one) when several individuals unite in a common effort. It's like several lumps of coal effectively producing considerably more heat than one can produce by itself. But then, when more than a few 'coals' are united, well - just don't get too close the stove!
"When two of you get together on anything at all on earth and make a prayer of it, my Father in heaven goes into action. And when two or three of you are together because of me, you can be sure that I'll be there." (Matt 18:18-20 -MSG)
The GCMH ground floor construction has begun and is progressing notably as the photos below attest. Many have already stepped through the 'open door' and joined us in furthering the project's first phase, the 'Nehemiah Walls', for which I am eternally thankful. If you haven't already done so, I prayerfully encourage and welcome you to do so today. Luke 1:37
