EASTER: 'DO' or 'DONE'?

"There they crucified him"
(Luke 23:33)
He is not here; he has
risen!" (Luke 24:6)
"After He finished the sacrifice for sins, the Son
(Jesus) took His honored place high in the heavens
right alongside God" (Heb 1:3-4 -MSG)
I have a book, which lists an innumerable litany of
world religions, all of which teach and detail that we
must, 'DO' something to earn our way into the next
world. That's where Christianity stands alone. With
our thoughts on Easter, and focused on what God's
Son Jesus Christ did for mankind at the cross and the
empty tomb, isn't it good to know that each one of us
who will believe in Him and accept his finished work of
eternal salvation can add two more letters to the
word 'Do', an 'N' and
an 'E' "Nothing Else"?
For nothing else is needed, Jesus did it, and it's
DONE, once, for all, and forever!
And as good as that news is, it doesn't stop there
for when we accept Jesus as our Savior and Lord, it
doesn't just give us a ticket to Heaven, God also
adopts us as one of his very own children.
"(We) are all children of God through faith in
Christ Jesus."
(Gal 3:26 -NLT)
Truly amazing! And there's even more! Listen.
"This resurrection life you received from God is
not a timid, grave-tending life. It's adventurously
expectant, greeting God with a childlike "What's next,
Papa?" God's Spirit touches our spirits and confirms
who we really are. We know who he is, and we know
who we are: Father and children. And we know we are
going to get what's coming to us - an unbelievable
inheritance! We go through exactly what Christ goes
through. If we go through the hard times with him, then
we're certainly going to go through the good times with
him!" (Rom 8: 15-
17 -MSG)
Yes, Easter can be spelled D-O-N-E. For when
Jesus walked out of that tomb the 'work' was forever
finished, with death and hell forever defeated. And all
who will believe in Him and accept Him as their Lord
and Savior, walked out of that dead man's tomb with
Him on that first Easter morning, and into an eternal
life with Him, which he promises to all who will accept
it.
"My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is
no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in
this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who
loved me and gave himself for me." (Gal 2:20 -NLT)
Perhaps you would like to accept the gift of God's
Son, or rededicate your life to Him this Easter season.

Author's Note:
As a young boy of 14, God gave me a
vision for a ministry in Africa. Many years
have passed, but that vision is now becoming
a reality. JSMI is currently establishing the
Grace Christian Mission Hospital, a multi-
functional medical and educational complex
near the center of Kenya. This African nation
is the size of Texas with a population of
approximately 32 million, of which most are
suffering the deadly effects of AIDS (and its
consequential horrific orphan influx), Malaria,
extreme poverty, etc.

URGENT: KENYA UPDATE!
Construction of the Grace Christian Mission
Hospital wall has been delayed, but the need remains
immediate!
Unrest following the recent national elections in
Kenya has caused a temporary delay in the start of
construction that was scheduled for this month.
We ask you to join with our prayer team in praying
for everyone who is caught up in the unrest and for a
swift, peaceful end to the post-election violence.
The news reports from Kenya are helping bring
the world's attention to this impoverished area in
which JSMI has focused its ministry for many
years.
