Things That Accompany Salvation!
"We are confident of better things, things that
accompany salvation." (Hebrews 6:9 --NIV)
Salvation, through acceptance of Jesus Christ as
savior and Lord, redirects our eternal destiny from the
eternal pits of Hell to an everlasting home in
Heaven. If you or I were the richest person on the
planet, having all the wealth of Gates and Buffet
combined, we still wouldn't have enough money to pay
for this eternal gift that God has freely offered to all
who will receive it.
Heaven's glories will no doubt be 'out of this
world', abundant with beauty, unimaginable splendor,
magnificence, happiness, peace, eternal bliss, and
God's very presence. Yes, the 'sweet bye and bye' truly
will be sweet, bye and bye.
But, while here we still have to deal with 'The nasty
now and now', namely, Satan's relentless opposition --
his fear tactics, threats, roadblocks, temptations,
the 'you name its'. We really don't need much
convincing that this isn't Heaven yet.
"Before I shaped you in the womb, I knew all
about you. Before you saw the light of day, I had holy
plans for you." (Jeremiah 1: 5 --MSG)
God knew all about Satan's tactics before He
made the earth, and just as surely as God has a
unique plan for each of our lives before we're born, He
also knows that Satan will come against it. That's why
He filled His Word with promise after promise and
resolute assurance that we who have accepted His
salvation have also received the things that
accompany it, namely those promises that provide
us with authoritative power over the 'fallen one' and all
of
his works.
Say, "Amen!"
"All the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in
Him Amen, to the glory of God through us."(2
Corinthians 1: 20 --NKJV)
When God 'yeses' it, and we 'amen' it, it will
happen. We can be absolutely certain of that, for the
power of God's word will always fulfill the promise of
His Word, which is assured by the integrity of His
word, for He would never lie.
Faith - in God will change your
world.
Patience - Be patient, or become
one.
Remember, though, to be certain we realize
these 'things that accompany salvation', we must "
Imitate those who through faith (Believing,
unreservedly, that God can) and
patience (Trusting, steadfastly, that He
will), inherit the promises." (Heb 6:10-12 --NKJV)
For faith will not work without patience, and
patience will not work without faith. Together, however,
they cannot fail.
"By faith we understand that the entire
universe was formed at God's command." (Hebrews
11:3 --NLT)
"The Lord is a faithful God. Blessed are those
who wait (patiently trust) for his help." (Isaiah
30:18b -
NLT)

Author's Note:
As a young boy of 14, God gave me a
vision for a ministry in Africa. Many years
have passed, but that vision is now becoming
a reality. JSMI is currently establishing the
Grace Christian Mission Hospital, a multi-
functional medical and educational complex
near the center of Kenya. This African nation
is the size of Texas with a population of
approximately 32 million, of which most are
suffering the deadly effects of AIDS (and its
consequential horrific orphan influx), Malaria,
extreme poverty, etc.
