Another moment of pride for FAF as its Executive Director, Mr. Patrick Sciarratta, is invited to his second royal conference on developments in the Middle East: King Mohammed VI of Morocco has invited Mr. Sciarratta to attend the 2011 Fez Nobel Laureates Conference from April 30- May 3, 2011. The all-expense paid trip will bring Mr. Sciarratta together with global luminaries to discuss the role of youth leaders in the changing Middle East landscape.

Subsequently, FAF's Artistic Director Ms. Yin-Chu Jou received an official invitation to Doha, Qatar by the UN Alliance of Civilization on an official UN forum "Connecting the UNAOC's Mission and the MDGs: An Agenda for Collaborative Action" on May 3-4, 2011. Ms. Jou will weigh in on two important gatherings: FAF's Annual Youth Assembly at the United Nations, and The Rhythms of One World 2012 International Choral Festival, both aligned with UNAOC's mission of intercultural dialogue and exchange.

Have You Heard What Directors Say?

"The With One Dream... Rebuilding Hope in Haiti Benefit Concert sponsored by Friendship Ambassadors Foundation was not only a highlight - it was the best performance the World Children's Choir sang in for the entire 2009-2010 concert season. I can still hear the voices of the children and the 150 wonderful young orchestra players performing With One Dream to conclude the concert. This is a very precious lifetime memory. We are still receiving compliments, and send our love and gratitude to you, Yin-Chu, and everyone at Friendship Ambassadors Foundation for making this event possible."

       - Sondra Harnes, Artistic Director, World Children's Choir  2010

"I had a great time on the trip to South America! FAF provided superior service, and I have no doubt I will remember this tour for the rest of my life.

       - Devon Newburn, Harding Chorus Student President, Tour to

Brazil, Argentina & Chile  2010

"The Alliance Francaise of Greenwich would like to thank you and your Artistic Director Yin-Chu Jou for your efforts in including [us] in the Greenwich Choral Society trip to France honoring the Greenwich- Vienne Sister City Initiative 2008... The trip was seamless, due in no small part to your advance planning... We thank you and your team for making this historic trip so memorable.

       - Renee Ketcham, President, Alliance Francaise, Greenwich  2008

"On behalf of the Huntington Middle School Orchestra, we would like to express our grateful appreciation to FAF for organizing and coordinating our trip to New York City and Carnegie Hall on April 8-12, 2009. Our students had a wonderful time from this trip. The itinerary you planned was excellent, as was your assistance throughout our stay in New York. We are especially thankful to you for arranging the tour and concert at Juilliard School, which is an inspiration to our students. We certainly look forward to using your services again in the future."

        - Robert Folsom, Orchestra Director, Huntington Orchestra, 2009

"2010 marks a decade of our work with Friendship Ambassadors, an infinitely imaginative, flexible, hard-working and communicative organization dedicated to peace through cultural exchange. Thanks to the truly global perspective and expertise of the FAF staff and administration, my colleagues and I at West Virginia Wesleyan College have been able to develop a meaningful curriculum abroad during the past ten years. For any project involving the education of young people abroad in the 21st century we can certainly recommend without reservation the skill, breadth of vision, and ever evolving, comprehensive contacts of Friendship Ambassadors.

       - Dr. Devon McNamara, Professor of English, West Virginia Wesleyan College, Buckhannon, West Virginia   2010

"Traveling with FAF this summer for two weeks in Peru was more than we could have imagined. The kids all went home with amazing memories and life-changing experience - Thanks FAF for yet another amazing tour! See you next year!"

        - Kieri V. Coombs, Creative DIrector, Performing Groups for Youth, Sacramento, CA, 2010

"I had thought that I had both seen and experienced nearly everything in my 25 years of traveling with the Friendship Ambassadors Foundation. Little did I know that a new, unique experience was awaiting myself and my performing troupe, Synergy, in the Philippines. Suffice it to say, my life has been altered forever. I commend the entire staff of FA for their efforts!"
