    Free Familiarization Tours to Europe this Spring

    Free travel grants will be offered to performing arts group directors in 2007. Grants will enable recipients to help familiarize themselves with Friendship Ambassadors Foundation (FAF) programs abroad. This grant is funded in part by FAF, Inc. Complete an online application form to Friendship Ambassadors Foundation by March 31, 2007 (call for extension if necessary). All directors and group leaders are eligible. Awardees must sign a letter of agreement (upon request of FAF at time of notification) stating that without any obligation they are accepting this opportunity in the name of their arts organization or academic institution.

    25-30 June 2007

    Perform with the Youth Symphony for United Nations Orchestra, Band or Chorus (ages 13-18) during this concert tour that brings support to local residents and to volunteer workers in Houma and New Orleans

    • Travel as “tag-along” (high school juniors & seniors) and participate in volunteer reclamation efforts in New Orleans and Houma in partnership with local projects like the ACORN and Habitat Houses

    Make lifelong friendships with local youth & families—Join us in this VolunTourism effort now!

    U.C. Peace Arts Festival • A Call to Ensembles
    Perform at the U.N. in August

    • Perform at the United Nations, in churches like St. Paul’s Cathedral, as well as other local venues in Manhattan
    • Participate in the Annual Youth Assembly at the UN and engage in exclusive cultural exchanges with hundreds of youth leaders from around the world
    • Experience special events at the UN and related Consulates in Manhattan and star in the special U.C. PEACE Festival celebrating world cultures
    • Learn how to use the arts to promote peace and mutual understanding in workshops designed especially for performance groups
