Late Summer Greetings!
Come on board for the best concert tours
available anywhere in the world!
Inspection tours for directors are
available: six land only subsidies are
currently
available for travel to
Hungary.
A new
festival is planned to premiere in late May 2007
honoring the 125th anniversary of Kodaly and his
influence on the choral world. Inquire about the
possibility to sing with Hungarian choirs, perform,
exchange, and take part in planned workshops and
lectures. Concertizing outside the capital is also
anticipated.
Travel with Elisabeth
Von Trapp, of the Sound of Music family, on a
spectacular tour to Austria next June.
Sing or just tag along on this magical culture tour.
All proceeds go to support the humanitarian activities
of the foundation throughout the world. Please see
our website, www.faf.org, for more details.
Group leaders and participants can find out
valuable information before they choose a concert
tour, edutour, or voluntourism project abroad in 2007
or 2008 by visiting the FAF website today.

Another FAF Exclusive Choir Tour: The First Annual
Castle Choral Festival, Honoring the 125th Birth
Anniversary of Zoltan Kodaly is currently in the works!
Would your choir like to sing in the heart of
the Castle District, Budapest's most cultural area?
Would your orchestra want to perform in great
settings with great choirs from Hungary?
FAF Choirs will be invited to participate in
concerts, workshops and lectures on the Kodaly
method, in historic venues. Set for May, FAF and
the Hungarian Culture Foundation (HCF)are currently
working to secure the participation of the Hungarian
choral community and U.S. Embassy. Concerts
anticipated in the gothic revival Great Hall of HCF,
Matthias Church, and elsewhere throughout the
district. Opportunities to perform outside the
capital are also available.
Group leaders: see
familiarization tour article for details on subsidized
travel to Budapest to view sites in late November or
January.

| Why consider Friendship Ambassadors for your 2007 tour? |

Since 1973, FAF has facilitated rich, international
exchanges and concert tours, while advancing the
idea of voluntourism, service travel, and tours for
peace. FAF is not just another tour operator: we
add a tremendous amount of educational and social
value to the cultural exchanges and concert tours
we create and facilitate every year.
FYI: For
the past three years, FAF staff was called away to
national duty and handled very few tours. Most
were very successful but few were able to receive
our full attention. Our entire staff led relief efforts
among families affected by 9/11. Over $2M was
donated to FAF for this purpose – now that this
service has come to an end, the foundation has
put its full time efforts back into its unique and
unparalleled concert tour travel services.
2007 means TOURS TOURS TOURS! In
the past year we have renewed our many concert
tour connections and will once again launch an
aggressive campaign to promote mutual
understanding through concert tourism.
A Connected, CARING
Staff
Affiliated with the United Nations, US embassies
abroad, academic institutions, artistic organizations,
and a variety of cultural communities worldwide, the
foundation can provide high quality, safe, educational
and rewarding cultural exchange and concert tours
to all arts, cultural, educational, and service oriented
groups.
DID YOU KNOW? In April 2006, a
choir from Northfield, Illinois traveled on one of our
well-respected voluntourism tours. EagleSong sang
throughout Louisiana, at FEMA trailer parks, in newly
re-opened schools, all free to the public and in some
incredibly historic settings. Prior to their departure,
they raised FIFTY (50) orchestral and marching band
instruments over the internet and GAVE THEM AWAY
while on tour to students who lost theirs during the
hurricanes. That tour was rewarded with the
2006 Share the Hope Award from the America Sings
Foundation - a true Friendship Ambassadors tour –
and yours can now be just like theirs!
