want you to know about upcoming training and shows we're attending in the
coming months. We hope you can join us.
Florida Training: Can't swing a trip out
west? Try the January 23-24 weekend Buddy Rhodes Training in Naples, Florida, with Zac Colletti Check
us out at our booth at the Open Décor Show January 25-27 following the Workshop. Check out our upcoming classes in San Francisco.
World of Concrete - We're doing things
differently this year. Focusing more on meeting up with our customers in a
social atmosphere, we will be outdoors in the silver lot next to Concrete
Network. We are sponsoring the Artistry in Decorative Concrete demonstration
area, where Nick Relampagos will be
building a concrete lounge chair using BR Mix and GFRC reinforcement without
spraying.
Come join us in our booth for a beer and conversation - we're there to hear
from you.
Some
of us will stay on after the WOC for the International Countertop Expo at the Mandalay the following week.
And in March, we'll be demonstrating full time at Concrete Décor's Decorative Concrete Spring Training in Phoenix March 16-19.

Helpful Hint:
Helpful Hint: Ultra Fine Dry Pigments can be used in half the dosage to get a lighter hue. Take the Universe color, for example. Using 1/2 lb per 70 lb. bag of BRC Mix, instead of the 1 lb per 70 lb Bag, will give you a very nice sand stone color. Remember, our standard is one can of Ultra Fine Pigment (2 lbs) to two 70 lb. BRC Mix bags. Watch for our upcoming new color formulations.

Buddy Rhodes Artisan Profile
Buddy
Rhodes Artisan Nick Relampagos, of It's Concrete, is a decorative concrete
success story. With experience in residential design and construction, Nick
started his concrete fabricating business in 2005 while still working in his
9-5 job in Information Technology. With his son's assistance, he would craft countertops evenings and
weekends. Nick used to come over to our shop to pick up Mix, then he came to a
few Buddy Rhodes workshops, and now he helps teach them! Having trained
extensively with our esteemed colleague across the Bay as well, Nick is expert
in all the currently used decorative concrete finishing methods: pressed,
trowelled, wet-cast and ground. He has been able to let the IT job go and now
devotes himself to his business full-time in Hayward, California, with much
success in jobs all over the Bay Area.
Nick
recently designed and installed a stepped slab pathway, using Buddy's Ultra
Green Concrete Mix (BUG), at the entrance of a neighbor's updated modernist home.We particularly like the actual green "bug" in the driveway.
Nick
envisions endless possibilities in designing and creating in concrete.
