Lots of things happening at VTS this month! (Didn't I have the same story last month?)
To keep you updated, the renovation of our Deer Park headquarters has come to a close- stay tuned for Before & After pictures in next month's newsletter!
In addition, VTS has opened 2 more locations in Dallas/Ft. Worth and Raleigh/Durham. Our new franchisees and corporate staff joined us in New York for a week-long training session at the end of June.
Also, all of you in the precast industry- mark your calendar for the National Precast Concrete Association Convention in September. COO Ed Teixeira will be presenting a workshop about reducing fuel costs through the use of a fleet management software.
Last but not least, VTS was recently featured in Newsday for an article about the benefits of fleet management with rising gas prices. Also featured in that article: our friends at Weber & Grahn Conditioning of Hampton Bays. Be sure to check out the article below!
Enjoy this month's newsletter, and as always, please let us know if there is anything you would like to see in next month's issue!

VTS Chosen as Preferred Vendor for NY Taxi & Limousine Commission
The Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) of New York recently
issued a mandate for all paratransit vehicles licensed in the city of New York to
be equipped with GPS tracking. In issuing this directive, the TLC and the NY
Ambulette Coalition chose Vehicle Tracking Solutions as a preferred vendor.
The TLC mandate includes a "Pick-Up/Drop-Off Report" which
needs to be sent to the TLC on a monthly basis. Using VTS' in-cab push buttons,
this report will include a date/time stamp, street address, latitude/longitude
and a notation of either pick-up or drop-off. Included in this service, Vehicle Tracking Solutions will
send this report to the TLC automatically. This allows customers
to remain compliant with TLC guidelines without actually having to run, print
and send reports.
There are currently 181 ambulette companies with
approximately 1,500 paratransit vehicles affected by this mandate. In order to inform
these companies of the various options available, VTS participated in an
education night sponsored by the NY Ambulette Coalition on June 26. There,
dozens of business owners were able to view the products and speak with
representatives about their options. If you have any questions about the GPS
mandate and Vehicle Tracking Solutions' software, please email info@vehicletrackingsolutions.com
or call (631) 586-7400. |

Quality Assurance Program Results Boast High Level of Customer Service
VTS recently began conducting a Quality Assurance Survey to
measure new customer satisfaction. The survey, which is conducted approximately
6 weeks after the system is installed, has returned very valuable results for
VTS employees.
Of the companies surveyed over the past 12 weeks, 100%
responded that they would refer VTS to another company looking for a GPS
tracking system. Other highlights of the results include an average rating of
4.7 (out of a possible 5) for the VTS sales process and an average rating of 4.5
for the software training each customer receives.
With these benchmarks, VTS employees can work towards
ensuring that customers are receiving the highest level of service and support.
In order to upgrade the sales process, VTS recently began utilizing electronic
contracts that can be signed over the internet to streamline the process. Using
these services will allow customers to view, sign and send their documents with
the click of a button; therefore expediting the entire process. |
As Seen in...Newsday
On July 15, VTS was featured in the Newsday article "GPS tracking: it's a gas" which examines the
benefits of fleet tracking such as reduced fuel costs and an increase in route
efficiency.
