Over the past few years, we have been blessed with double digit growth each year. Often times as a company sees such large growth, customer service may suffer. We are trying our best to make sure this does not happen. However, if things do fall through the cracks from time to time, I want to apologize in advance and assure you that if an issue is brought to my attention, I will do my best to fix it.
The month of February has brought much progress to VTS customer service and satisfaction. With the launch of our new website and our new customer service initiative, our customers can expect to see an overall improvement in service.
The new updates to FleetMinder give customers more options when customizing their tracking software. Make sure to read the "Tips & Tricks" section for information on using our latest advancements- geofencing and creating a landmark radius.
WebView users will also notice that the internet application received a facelift. With its new interface, the program will be much easier to navigate.
In the "VTS News" section, you can read about the new customer service project. This initiative was created in hopes of providing improved service to our customers. If you have any comments or suggestions about how to further improve the service we provide, we want to hear about it. Feel free to contact our Manager of Business Development, Kerri Allmer, with questions or concerns. You can reach her at 631.586.7400 x26 or kerri@vtsn.com.

VTS Launches New Website Visitors to www.VehicleTrackingSolutions.com will find a welcome surprise, as the website recently received an extreme makeover. The new site features an easier-to-use interface, striking colors, and the option for visitors to submit request forms for information or service.
The new website is easier to navigate, which allows users to quickly access the information they need. Get directions to the VTS office, read about the VTS employees or research how GPS tracking actually works with the click of a button. The request form feature relays information from the customer to a VTS employee immediately, so issues may be resolved quickly and efficiently.
WebView 2.0 Released A year after its original release, WebView, the internet version of FleetMinder, has received a facelift. The updates to WebView include a new interface, crisper graphics and customers will find the site is a lot easier to use.
WebView is offered at no additional cost to current VTS customers. Since WebView is internet-based, the program can be used on any device with internet connection (such as laptops, PDAs and cell phones), allowing customers to conduct business from remote locations.
If you have not tried WebView yet, you ought to! For login information and complementary training during your first session, please fill out this form. A representative from the VTS Software Support Department will contact you today to walk you through the process.
Another VTS product made with mobility in mind is VTS Mobile, which allows users to view Fleet Status from a cell phone. This product allows you to view a summary of where your vehicles are located, and if they are moving. VTS Mobile is an easy-to-use product for rapid access to the information you need.
For help using either of these products, visit help.vtsn.com or fill out a service form and a VTS representative will get back to you shortly.
Increasing Customer Satisfaction Through Email
Customer satisfaction is a top priority at VTS, which is why we will be starting a new service initiative in the coming weeks. The new program will include sending emails to remind customers of upcoming appointments, as well as follow-up emails for completed service calls. These follow-ups will have a link to a survey that will allow customers to relay their thoughts and opinions on the service they received from VTS. The comments and suggestions we receive will allow us to improve our overall service, so please complete these surveys as you receive them.
VTS Establishes New Government Contract Service Division The newly formed division will focus its efforts on identifying, contacting and submitting proposals to various local, county and state agencies that operate vehicle fleets. Since the inception of the Government Contract Division, VTS has acquired contracts with several government agencies. Click here to read more...

Tips & Tricks
Making the Most of your Fleet Management System
______________________________________________________________________
Geofencing You can now be alerted when your vehicles enter a set radius with our new geofencing feature. Set a radius of any size in any area, and receive email alerts or text notifications on your cell phone when vehicles enter or leave the designated area. This is helpful when marking regional areas, such as towns, counties, or even states. Landmark Radius With this new feature, you can create a radius between 50ft and 1000ft around a set landmark. Because postal addresses and addresses used in GPS location differ slightly, you would occasionally see a different address when a vehicle was still at a set landmark. Using this radius feature allows you to display the landmark name the entire time a vehicle is at that landmark, by choosing the size of the landmark. For example, if a landmark is a large parking lot you can set the radius to encompass the entire lot instead of the immediate area surrounding the initial landmark point.
Geofencing vs. Landmarks So when should you use each feature?
Let's say your employees should only be working in a set county, and you want to know if they leave that area at any point. You should use geofencing, because you can select a large area to monitor. Now let's say your employees work and live in the same general area. You have set a landmark notification for your employee's house, so you know if he is stopping home throughout the day. What if he parks around the block? The landmark radius feature will allow you to encompass the entire block so the whole area registers as his house.
Please visit help.vtsn.com for assistance with these features, or submit a service request form and a VTS representative will get back to you shortly.

-Success Secrets-
Business Tips To Promote Efficiency
_________________________________________________________________
Proper Tire Inflation = Better Gas Mileage
Proper tire pressure is critical for safe driving and fuel efficiency, but many passenger and light truck vehicles operate with under or over-inflated tires. Ninety-five per cent (95%) of a vehicle's weight is supported by the tire air pressure, with the tire supporting just 5%, making inflation a critical part of a tire's ability to perform. Tire inflation also has a strong impact on tread life.
Relying on a sight inspection alone is not an accurate way to measure tire pressure. Tires may be significantly under or over-inflated, yet you may not be able to tell just by looking at them.
The only accurate way to know if your tires need to be inflated is by measuring their pressure with a reliable tire gauge. Tire gauges are available at most automotive supply and hardware stores.
Correct Tire Pressure Correct tire pressure varies from vehicle to vehicle and wheel to wheel. In fact, the recommended pressure for personal vehicles ranges from 20 to over 50 psi.
Under-inflation Under-inflation is the leading cause of tire failure. Twenty-three per cent (23%) of vehicles have at least one tire under-inflated by more than 20%. Under-inflated tires on your vehicle lead to poor or delayed braking, steering and acceleration. Under-inflated tires may squeal when stopping or cornering even at moderate speeds, particularly on warm pavement. The correct tire pressure for your vehicle is listed on the information placard. This placard is normally located on the edge of one of the doors, the inside post of one of vehicle's doors or inside the glove compartment, trunk, or fuel door. Your owner's manual should include the correct tire pressure or direct you to the placard's location on your vehicle.
Over-inflation Over-inflation can be a problem too. An over-inflated tire rides on just the center portion of the tread. The smaller contact area means reduced grip on the road, leading to a harsh ride, handling issues (such as steering and stopping problems) and increased wear on tires and suspension components. Seventeen per cent (17%) of vehicles in Canada have at least one tire that is over-inflated by 20%.
