Grant Funds Available for your Neighborhood-Apply Today!
As you may have heard, SE Uplift has $46,058 in grant funds available this year through the Neighborhood Small Grants Program. Neighborhood, business and community groups will be eligible to apply for projects that help to build community, increase membership and sustain current members and volunteers. Grant requests may range from $1000-$7500. The deadline to apply is Tuesday, November 1 by 2:00PM. Applicants are required to partner with at least one organization and provide a letter of support from each partner organization. This is a great opportunity for NAs to build new relationships in particular with local business associations and historically under-represented communities.
On our website you will find the grant application, some frequently asked questions (FAQs) and grant writing tips.

Feast for Southeast is a grassroots Thanksgiving event, for the community BY the community. It is planned by a group of neighbors from all over Southeast Portland and focused on the neighborhoods encompassing Mt. Scott/Arleta, Woodstock, Brentwood/Darlington and Foster/Powell. The group is led by Roberto Selva and strongly supported by Lifehouse Church, various SE Portand Neighborhood Associations, local nonprofits and businesses, and other sponsors as well as individual donors and volunteers.
Feast for Southeast will take place at Mt. Scott Community Center on Thanksgiving day - from 2pm to 4pm. Whether individuals are interested in attending, volunteering, or both - it is a wonderful opportunity to share a great meal with some neighbors, talk about what you're thankful for in 2011, and what you'd like to be thankful for in 2012.
