Making the "Right" Exit
We came across an article last month that discussed business owners who regret the exit they made over the last few years and in some cases end up buying back the business after selling to the wrong buyer.
At Beacon we understand the sale of a business is a process not just a transaction. We work with the seller to understand what the right exit is for both the owner and the business. We work diligently to present the seller with qualified buyers having the combined financial resources and business experience to continue the company's success for the owner, customers and employees who rely on the business for products and employment.
When it is time to think about selling your business, you want to work with professionals who understand how to manage the transition process before, during and after the sale, give us a call. Beacon's goal is to assist the seller in making "the right exit".

Are all those Monday charity tournaments really making money?
The Boston Business Journal article below points out that like so many other parts of the economy, charity golf outings aren't what they used to be. An event that was a sure fire fundraiser and a great day for everyone involved a few years ago may not be so anymore. As many of us are involved in various ways with charitable causes, we thought you might find the article interesting as you discuss plans for 2011 events.

Leave them laughing...
A local comedy troupe, Improv Asylum, is using You Tube to promote their ability to assist companies in making humorous and effective ads at a reasonable cost. Over the last three months the North End-based business has created a slew of humorous (and topical) video clips for its YouTube channel in an effort to raise the club's profile, attract commercial, television and film work - and drive ticket sales. We thought this was an intriguing business and thought you might too.

We enjoyed this parody of Tom Brady's fender bender in Boston. We hope you laugh too.
