Each of the last few years SOULutions has created a little jingle as a theme for the upcoming year. The jingle for 2009 was: "Let your light shine in 2009." This years theme is: "Let it begin from within in 2010."

Winter Solstice Ceremony & BREATH OF LIFE Celebration-December 21st from 7-9:PM.
Join us for SOULutions sixth annual ceremony to celebrate the longest night of the year in the northern hemisphere, our WINTER SOLSTICE. Each year we dedicate a sacred time to let go of the regrets, attitudes, and limitations that no longer serve us as we open our hearts to the prayer of the world...of greater peace, joy, and love for all.
We will begin with a burning bowl ceremony. The ritual symbolizes our longing and choice to let go of the
darkness that may have kept our inner light from shining its brightest (as we approach the longest and darkest night of the year) and to make room to plant the seed
qualities in our hearts that will enable us to fulfill our deepest heart's prayer.

What's does it mean to me? What does it mean to you?
 Rather simple, don't you think? Take a brief moment to take it in. What strikes you about it? What feeling, if any, does it evoke? Did you happen to notice that the root system contains the exact same mass as the tree itself?
Tree's have always been a symbol of wholeness. To me, this tree represents the individual Self that is unique part of the whole of life. The branches or expression of life are above the surface representing our outer life and below the surface our inner life. The yellow symbolizes the Spirit of love and light illuminating our darkness for the purpose of us becoming whole. Did you know that it's during the fall and winter months a tree deepens its roots the most? What does this suggest for you and me? What can we learn from our Guru Mother Nature? What would happen if Mother Nature failed to do her inner work?
Many peoples lives, below the surface, have unhealed wounds and limiting beliefs that block them from taking in all of love and light, truth and beauty, grace and presence that surrounds them. Wholeness is made possible by healing and integrating these wounds, or "pain body" as Eckhart Tolle writes about?
Spirit can only express through us and impact Life by us to the extent that we have healed these blocks and let go of the reactive behaviors associated with them. When we find a way to do this, our roots can then and only then truly deepen. The greater our depth - the greater our potential for growing in and expressing truth, love and presence.
All unhappiness including self defeating patterns, relationship difficulties, money problems, addictions and that empty feeling of isn't there something more are all wounds of the soul. SOULutions is in service to wholeness. This tree with its equal emphasis on both growth and depth, inner work and outer self expressing, clearly represents this..., to me.
