October WPCA Will Be A Credit
The Wholesale Power Cost Adjustment (WPCA)
listed on Flint Energies member bills will be
a credit of $0.0140 in October. On all bills
rendered during the month, the separate line item
called WPCA will be shown as -$0.0140 per kilowatt-
hour (kWh).
On a member's average bill of 1500 kilowatt hours,
this will amount to a credit of $21.00 on the October
bill.
Flint Joins 26 Other National Cooperatives to Apply for Stimulus Grant Funds
Flint Energies has joined with 26 other rural electric
cooperatives from across the United States to apply
for a matching grant under the American
Reinvestment and Recovery Act (ARRA). If awarded,
the grant would pay 50% toward Smart Grid
improvements on Flint's electric distribution system.
Flint Annual Meeting Will Be Thursday in Reynolds
Flint Energies will hold its 72nd annual meeting of
members at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1 at Flint
Energies headquarters in Reynolds. Hundreds of
Flint members have already participated in the
annual meeting process by returning their mail ballot.
Returning the ballot, which was wrapped around the
September edition of Georgia Magazine, qualifies
members for the mail drawing prizes, according to
Marian Douglas, Flint Energies Manager of Public
Relations. Ballots should be returned to the ballot
audit firm's post office box in Macon by Sept. 29 to
qualify for the mail-in prize drawing.

this year with the final bill credits on September bills.
Flint refunded nearly $2 million to members from
1981-82.
