Overnight Labels & the FTA
When Overnight Labels, Inc. was approached to produce the 50th Anniversary labels for the FTA the response was "Absolutely!" The FTA has been beneficial to the growth of the company and we are happy to give something back.
When the artwork for the 50th Anniversary label first came in it was slightly different from the final product. It was important for us to give the association something special, so we began to think about how we could enhance the artwork without altering the original concept. We ended up resizing the artwork, pulling out the background image to a full bleed, and adding cold foil to the FTA logo to make the label really shine. When people look at the label, we hope they won't just glance at it for a moment, but that the cold foil holds their attention for an extra moment or two. We hope they read the message "50 Years of Making Flexo Stronger" and think about what it means to them and how far flexography has come over the past 50 years with the support of the FTA.
When Overnight Labels, Inc. first joined the FTA, the company was in its early stages of flexographic printing. Producing barcode labels for government contracts was a totally different ballgame than the flexographic work and skill the company has grown over the years. We wanted to learn more about flexography and the FTA represented a consolidated and comprehensive organization that we could do that with. We wanted to take advantage of the courses and seminars offered in order to grow our business and become a leader in the flexographic trade.
One of the greatest benefits and values to our business has been the many and varied courses offered by the association. From the owner to the pressmen, pre-press department, quality control and production managers, there isn't anyone in our facility who hasn't benefited (whether directly or indirectly) from the knowledge gained through these experiences.
