Sales Management Using the Customer Master

Here's a way to use the Customer Master to manage and track the sales leads for each sales person.

 

1. Create a Customer Master record for each sales person. 

 

2. Create Reference File Codes for tracking and reporting:
  • Market Type. Ex: LeadRes = Residential, LeadGre= lead grease, etc.  
  • Site Code. Ex: level1= high priority, level2=mid priority, etc.
  • Sales Source. Ex: referral, Cold (cold call) Bid (bid service), etc.
  • Note Codes. Ex: 1st call, call back, prsntation, maildoc, emaildoc, etc.
3. You can now create a Site Master for a new prospect and assign it to the sales person's Customer Master. Use the codes you created, site notes, reminders to track sales activities.  When a prospect becomes a customer, change the billing information to create a true  customer master for that site.

Heard At Poolside   
Ruth,  lonely senior citizen and resident of Happy Dale in Florida spotted the well-built new gentleman as soon as he arrived at the community pool.

"New here?" she asked.

"Yup"

"We're are you from?" Ruth inquired.

"Isn't that a prison?" she asked.

Well, the new gentleman explained that after finding his wife with another man, he shot her lover, he shot his wife, he shot their three kids and he burned down their house.

"I was just released," he said as he finished his story.

"Well," said Ruth with a big smile on her face, "that means you're single!"
