AWE is pleased to announce that "Suit Yourself" will be our supported Charity of Choice at this year's Connecting to Success conference.
Suit Yourself is an Edmonton-based charitable organization which collects and distributes quality clothing and accessories, free of charge, to low-income women who are seeking employment or making a transition in the workforce.

Recognizing the Achievements of Women | |
 As we embark upon International Women's Day on Thursday March 8th, I think about all the exceptional women that I meet through my role at AWE and feel so fortunate that I work for an organization that celebrates women every day of the year. This year's theme of 'Connecting Girls. Inspiring Futures' really speaks to me about the importance of providing opportunities for girls and women to be connected to those that have achieved greatness and to in-turn be inspired to dream big, take risks, and pursue their passion.
At AWE we want to recognize commendable women and provide entrepreneurs the opportunity to be inspired by their achievements, which led us to recently initiate a new program called the "Celebration of Achievement" that will run in conjunction with our annual conference "Connecting to Success" in Edmonton from May 2-4, 2012. The "Celebration of Achievement "is awarded annually to a recipient that is a strong role model and inspirational leader who has built an entrepreneurial venture in Alberta with significant impact on the economy, the community, and the perception of entrepreneurship as a viable career option for girls and women.
We are pleased to announce that entrepreneur Arlene Dickinson will be the recipient of our first annual "Celebration of Achievement" Award on the evening of Thursday May 3, 2012 at the Fairmont Hotel MacDonald, in Edmonton.
