NextStep to Success Program pilots Train-the-Trainer Sessions
This past December, Alberta Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) held the first NextStep to Success Train-the-Trainer Workshop in St. Paul, Alberta. AWE has recognized the need for capacity building in the areas of entrepreneurial readiness assessment and business plan development for Aboriginal women. Aboriginal women compose 37% of the total Aboriginal Canadians participating in self-employment ventures and their participation growth is increasing at an impressive rate, 2.5 times higher than that of non-Aboriginal women.
