Boost your Business in 2010
Smart business people know that you don't boost market share in boom times...your market share grows when the economy is soft and customers become more selective. The fastest, most cost-effective way to differentiate yourself is to focus on your service. Customer service can no longer be merely average or simply friendly; it needs to be remark-able. Here's your opportunity to make that happen for your team...

Grow Forth and Profit!

What stereotypes about growth and profit aspirations by women entrepreneurs do you believe? I just came across a recent report based on a survey of women business owners that may challenge your perceptions. (www.makemineamillion.org)

Myth #1: Women are happy keeping their businesses small and just making a little extra spending money

Fact:  87% said profits were very important, 42% prioritize growth, 82% said providing significant income to their families was a priority. Money may not be everything, but most women business owners aren't interested in conducting business as a hobby. Read more...

Cash Flow is Key to Your Progress: Seven Ways to Keep Money Moving
By: Business Development Bank of Canada
BDC

Cash is king in difficult economic times. Here are seven ways to find more money in your business.

Develop a cash-flow planner and track cash. Using software or a spreadsheet, record your month-opening bank account balance and all anticipated cash inflows and outflows. "That will help you stay on top of problems and make adjustments, such as delaying discretionary payments," says Joy Playford, Director of Special Markets, BDC. Read more...
